Qualified for PCIe Gen 2 & Gen 3 applications where low clearance prohibits vertical configurations, these connectors are available immediately in three heights from 5.84mm to 16.88mm. Meritec Straddle Mount PCI Express connectors are designed to offer additional solutions for co-planar applications between PCBs. This rugged design utilizing Meritec's patented insert molding process ensures reliability with proper pin alignment and accurate contact registration which provides robust support. Designed with a low profile which allows for dense packaging options. These connectors are available in X1, X4, X8 and X16 configurations and all meet the PCI Express 2.0 specification for performance data rates running at 5.0 Gbps.

.5mm Card Edge Connector

Meritec continues to provide unique solutions to customer's problems with the introduction of the Meritec SOCE connector. This small-outline card edge connector has enabled customers to reduce the PCB real estate that was previously required for side to side stackability of card edge connectors. The 3.25mm centerline to centerline spacing, coupled with the .5mm contact pitch of the connector, allows designers greater density in their board layout.

Right Angle AGP Connectors (12)

Meritec developed the Right Angle AGP (Accelerated Graphics Port) Connectors to compliment the Meritec product family of Angled Card Edge Connectors. The AGP interface has been designed specifically for dedicated use in high performance graphic controllers. The Right Angle AGP Connector allows you to add an AGP card to your system without adding all of the extra height. The connector is available in .400'' and .650'' stack heights, and both .100'' and .125'' solder tails.

Hermaphroditic Connectors (4)

Meritec provides an alternative concept in board to board interconnects - Hermaphroditic Connectors. Each mating half is identical in configuration, eliminating the need for separate male and female parts. The Hermaphroditic Connector is a high density 0.050" pitch board to board connector. The connector has a dual wipe contact design with 100 grams of normal force that was developed for use in the severe environment of the process control industry. Shallow entry angles on the contacts ensure a smooth insertion force profile to make the connector an excellent candidate for high mating cycle applications. The connectors are available in both 50 and 100 positions in both thru hole and surface mount configurations.

52 Position Card Edge Connectors (2)

Meritec's 52 position Card Edge Connector was designed for a unique application. The application required a connector that would allow the daughter card to be inserted from the top of the connector or from the side of the connector. The side angle entry requires a custom lead in feature on the daughter card. Typically only 50 contacts are used in this latter application. The end contacts on each row are usually not configured into the overall design of the PCB when side insertion of the PCB is required. This dual row card edge connector is available in both surface mount and thru hole mount.
