Northwestern Regional Sales Manager
Based in the Bay area of northern California and servicing the northwest (Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Western Montana and Northern Nevada).
Meritec is looking for an upbeat, focused and well-organized individual to become a welcome addition to our sales team. The successful candidate will be committed to winning and working hard in a total team environment. They will be results-driven and committed to the same high standards of excellence that Meritec was founded on. The Regional Sales Managers primary focus will be key account support and maintenance, establishing new accounts, management of sales representatives, where required, and general sales support in the region. This person should be extremely proactive, well organized, responsible, and should work well with Customers and within the total team as well.
Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain Key Account relationships
- Manage and support independent sales representatives in the region
- Proactively provide the home office team with information vital to the success of active and new programs
- Provide constant product training, sales leads, and follow-up with sales representatives
- Be a leader and a valued contributor to both the Customer and the total team
- Proactively work and maintain the sales database
Requirements:
- EE/ME or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of previous work experience in related disciplines
- Strong applications experience in the interconnect field
- Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast paced, constantly evolving, team environment
- Strong account management, interpersonal, communication and organization skills are essential
- Must have superior analytical skills
- Good computer skills for working within a Microsoft Access based sales database
