Founded in 1967 as A P Products, Ohio Associated Enterprises (OAE) dba Meritec has firmly established itself as a full-scale designer and manufacturer of high-performance electronic connectors and cable assemblies. With nearly six decades of innovation, Meritec serves its global customers with solutions specializing in ruggedized, high-density Embedded Computing products for Mil/Aero, Telecom, and Datacom, and high-speed interconnects for Medical and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) applications.

The Extreme High Speed Experts

Meritec can trace its beginnings to founder John T. “Jack” Venaleck. Starting from his home, Mr. Venaleck used his physics and engineering background to design the company’s first product, a line of IC Test Clips. These small, insert‐molded devices used by technicians for testing various size‐integrated circuits’ packages were immediately successful and remain a standard in the industry today. The company’s ability to design, tool, build, and deliver products that solve significant problems for customers quickly led to growth in electronic connectors and cable assemblies in the 1970s.
