Molded-On is the term we use to describe the integration of cable and contacts into one-piece, inseparable assemblies by means of injection molding. The process itself is unique in the industry, and so are the resulting functional and economic advantages in the interconnection systems.


The most obvious advantage of the Black Silver® Molded-On assemblies is that they are one piece, and therefore inseparable, as opposed to Std IDC “sandwich” style. There are no individual components to come apart or lose or stock to assemble or test or scrap. They are factory tested and ready to install when shipped.

    • Numerous configurations are available as single-ended, double-ended, or daisy chain assemblies, using Single Row Sockets, Dual Row Sockets, Single Row Boards and Dual Row Boards
    • All contacts are tempered nickel-silver alloys, which provide:

    – High strength

    – Spring properties with superior resilience

    – Fatigue strength in excess of 25K PSI for 1,000,000 cycles

    – Superior corrosion resistance

    – Easy solderability
